Sir Thomas Wharton School Band
[ Up one level ] [ Maltby Sword Dance ] [ Edlington School Band ]
Formerly known locally as 'Edlo Comp' or Edlington Comprehensive School, the
new school with a new name and a new logo has an enthusiastic band. A rousing
start and finish to the programme was the band playing 'Hogan's Heroes March'
and it certainly left the audience with a foot-tapping feeling.
Another tune to provide some phun was Phantom of the Opera. The band included
pupils at the school as well as staff members. There was a good mix of brass,
wind, percussion and bass guitar. The wind caused a few minor problems, and the
heat and sun were tolerated well by the smartly-dressed players.
